Dubbed the most festive house on the Gold Coast, 52 Forest Oak Drive in the heart of Upper Coomera’s ‘Candy Cane Lane’ is back and bigger than ever. There’s a new seven metre-tall tree and light decorations manufactured overseas along with old favourites including the giant candy canes and present boxes. The Moore family — Matt and Kellie and kids Ollie, Harry and Sam — moved onto the street in 2013 unaware of its festive cheer. Four years on, they are back-to-back winners of the Gold Coast Bulletin’s Christmas Light Competition after taking out the top spot two years running. Mr Moore, who owns Telstra stores, said his house made international headlines after winning the Bulletin competition last year. “We moved here in 2013 and had no idea that come-November the street totally transformed,” he said. “So we decided to get on board not knowing a lot about Christmas lights and it’s just grown every year.
